CD Reviews

HILARIOUS...PERIOD!!!

"I've been listening to comedy albums since the early 70's from artists such as Carlin, Pryor, Cosby (to name a few) and as the 80's approached (and the birth of MTV), comedians really began to gain mass appeal as a broader audience tuned in. There've been an awful lot of comedians over the past 20 years or so who have released albums/cds and as funny as most of them are, This cd has got to be THE funniest piece of work I've ever heard. From the beginning (with the horse farts bit) to the ending (with the guy's son on the speaker phone), This cd doesn't have a weak moment on it and I'm here to tell you that you'll have tears spewing from your eyes listening to this one. What makes Schimmel so good and different from most comedians around is his ability to hit you with one-liners and little jokes and before you can compose yourself, tell a story which will have you falling off your seat. He doesn't stick to one format and it's that which makes him funny and at the same time, unpredictable. As a bonus, this is also an 'enhanced cd', meaning you can stick it in your computer hard drive and enjoy concert clips and extra funny tidbits. Get this cd and laugh your you-know-what off!"
If you listen to this - you, too, will give it 5 stars!

"I'm not a big fan of comedy CD's, but Robert Schimmel is fantastic. I actually got this as a copy from a friend, and I ended up buying it - it's that good! I won't lie - I literally cried beacuse I was laughing so hard. My face hurt from laughing, and my side ached. He is disgusting, and perverted, and raw - but, oh so truthful. He comments on the most mudane things in life, but brings out the humor in them. If you want to laugh like there's no tomorrow - buy this CD."

"Robert Schimmel Comes Clean might be a little dirty but he is great at relevant perceptions of everyday life. Not as blue as Dice Clay and not as trivial as Jerry Seinfield, On this CD Schimmel makes you see the stupidity in everyday life. He's one of comics best and has perfected a strong on stage act. He has the ability to say "Hey I find this stupid don't you?" Audiences appreciate this logical act filled with the 1,2,3 punchlines. If you've never heard Schimmel before I reccomend a listen especially if you can find humor in Paul Reiser and George Carlin. Not as sarcastic as Dennis Miller and not as racily consious as most black comics but a pefect niche for those who say, "Does anyone else see how dumb this is?" Schimmel is Good Stuff!"
