"I read a review mentioning Blondie as a major influence on the Plasticines. Being a serious Blondie fan I decided to give them a try. The influence is indeed very strong and easy to recognize. Unfortunately they do not have the wide artistic range of Debbie Harry and Chris Stein and resemble only Blondie's punkier stuff. The Blondie songs that comes most to mind are Detroit 442 and the Hardest Part. Nevertheless, they do that part of Blondie's style very well. I like them and am glad to have the album. I recommend them to all serious Blondie fans, but doubt their appeal to wider audience."
