Wonderful album by a great band!!!

"I have been a fan of The Connells for about 10 years or so. I was introduced to them by a friend who heard them around his college, which is precisely the "sound" they had. I think this was their best album, though I like them all. The songs are all well written and catchy with a "power pop" feel. I'll never understand how they didn't become more popular. I highly recommend this disc."

"'One Simple Word' is quietly sensational, forever grappling with 'Ring' for best Connells album. While I love 'Boylan Heights,' this is better, and saying it's not as good as the fine but flawed 'Fun & Games' (as some have offered) is downright mystifying. The first four songs - 'Stone Cold Yesterday,' 'Speak to Me,' 'All Sinks In' and 'Get a Gun' offer the best start to any Connells album. This is great stuff."
