"The Cafe Del Mar series will finally be available domestically, starting with Volume 5. On Feb. 13th, Volume 7 will be released, followed by 5 & 6 in conjunction with the new release of Volume 8 this summer, most likley in June."

Bruno Takes the Reins From Jose Padilla

"Cafe del Mar enters the 21st centrury with its seventh release in the series. I welcomed the change from Jose Padilla to Bruno in taking up the charge of compiling this album. Volume 7 has a different sound and feel compared to the last couple of Cafe del Mar releases. Thanks to Bruno's taste in ambient electronica being much different from Padilla's.

No hard duds made their way onto this album. However, the opener, "Northern Lights" by Lux is the only great track, and there are too many average ones.

3.5/5 stars for Volume 7."
