First Stones Complication -- It's Great
Tiffany Ann | Black Diamond Bay | 06/10/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

""Big Hits" opens with "Satisfaction" a rocker if ever their was one, then it segues right into "The Last Time" another rocker, but then it changes pace with the beautiful "As Tears Go Bye." I've played "Tears" a jillion times, both the Stones version and the version done my Marianne Faithful and I'm at a loss, I can't decide which one I like best. It's a toss up, they're both wonderful. All, but three of the songs one this dynamite compilation were penned by Mick and Keith, though apparently they got a little help from pal Andrew on "Tears." This is a record you should have in your collection. I think you should go out and get it right now, so you shouldn't fade away, shouldn't have a nervous breakdown, you should get off your cloud and get this disc, you won't be sorry. Really you won't."
Every Song a Diamond

"Everybody loves "Satisfaction" who can't get enough of that song? But for me, my favorite song on this record is "Heart of Stone." Of course, I love the last two slow ones too. I love all the songs in between as well. Most of the songs on this excellent compilation were written by Mick and Keith and playing them, you can see what really great song writers they were (and still are). These songs are all diamonds, glowing in a fire, especially the very beautiful "As Tears Go Bye." You can never go wrong with the Rolling Stones, that's for sure."
