While nothing can match the excitement and beauty of listening to these performers live under the rotunda there, this CD comes close to replicating the joy and exuberance of this musical group. Each of these songs comes alive with an enthusiasm that is unmistakable for the group, and the blend of voices is completely inspired. And I can't help but picture these men and women dressed in all their traditional finery when I listen to each of the songs. For those of you not priveleged enough to have heard this group at Epcot, be prepared to have your socks blown off!My favorites on this collection are "This Land is Your Land" and the "Railroad Melody". I have yet to purchase the Voices' "A Slice of A Cappella", but that will quite likely be my next musical purchase. I thoroughly recommend this CD to any lover of a cappella music, traditional American classics, or the American Adventure." The arrangements were very well thought out and the transitions were excellent in the medleys. While the CD did not fully capture the fullness of their voices, especially in the bass/baritone voices, it was a CD that I will cherish. The selections will renew your pride of our nation despite the turmoils of 9/11. I highly recommend this recording."
