Synopsis

Product Description
Take a ride with That Handsome Devil to the other side of town, a neighborhood where Charles Bukowski hung his hat at a juke joint, the bartender knew Hunter Thompson's single malt of choice, and he kept plenty in stock. This is the place where That Handsome Devil's front man Godforbid calls home, with producer Jeremy Page banging on a bullet riddled piano, its beaten keys howling from a smoky corner. A place with enough Molotov cocktails, skag, booze, and sleazy women to horrify the most hardened of old timers. A City Dressed in Dynamite is the soundtrack to this bizarre scene, and it's pointless to fight it, you have to throw caution to the wind and take the ride. Put your life in the hands of your sharply dressed tour guide Godforbid, and just pray that you'll live to tell the story... or at least what you can remember.

CD Reviews

One of the Greatest Albums Ever
Ezra R. Raez | Chicago, IL USA | 08/22/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This band has written some of the most original music I've ever heard. I make it a point to search through Wikipedia and Amazon to find new sounds that I may enjoy, and, barring none, this is the greatest find I've ever encountered. They go from Rockabilly, to Rap, to a strange Psychedelic/Classic Rock sound almost like the great Pink Floyd. They meld genres together like no band I've ever heard. Also, the singer, known as Godforbid, sounds like a more melodious Tom Waits, with a growl that fits his band perfectly, and lyrics comparable to Jim Morrison's. This, as well as their self title album, is one of the greatest albums of all time. You will not regret buying it. I guarantee it."
I have never been so excited about a new band
Justin Dent | Camarillo, Ca | 09/16/2009

"I am in love with THD, I have never cared so much for a new band before. There songwriting is fantastic with an awesome fresh style that is edgy and interesting. The songs are no where near the same to each other, they have a definite style but they don't stick to just one type of sound and yet every song they do is fantastic. This is the first band I have heard in years that I actually bought there album. If only they had a shirt, I would rep this band anywhere I go."
