CD Reviews

Great Album and memories
A. Vickers | Charlotte,NC | 03/06/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This brings back many memories! I was dating Dave Christensen during the time that he wrote and recorded this album. I remember the days of watching them play in Erie before they went to CA. We dated for 2 years up until he left to go record this album. I often think how great it would be to get everyone together and hear them play live again. There is another song floating out there. One of the guys came back and played it for me. He said "Dave is still writing about you, but he won't admit it until the day that he dies!". Many of the songs on the Tyranny were written from our relationship, like "I don't need the pain"."
There is a little more...
M. Schuster | 03/04/2006

"I've loved this album for years; in spite of the now "dated" sound, its catchy tunes, great vocals, and tight production keep drawing me in. In case other fans of this album didn't know this, I thought it was worth posting here. There is an additional Stabilizers song floating out there, perhaps it was waiting for the second album that never came. It's called "Maybe This Time" and it's on the soundtrack album for a 1991 movie called "If Looks Could Kill". Used copies of this CD go for cheap when you can find them; grab it before it's gone too."
LOVE THIS TAPE!

"I still have the CASSETTE TAPE that I won from a local radio station in Fort Wayne, Indiana in the mid-80's. I loved working out to this tape and thought a lot of the music would make really cool floor music (gymnastics). Just bought the 'One Simple Thing' track from Rhapsody. It is a great 80's album. D Christensen's voice is still fantastic."
