CD Reviews

The CD blew me away!

"When I first heard of Sam Salter and the song "After 12, Before 6" was first released, I thought that he was a decent singer but I wasn't overly crazy about that song. In any case, I decided to go ahead and buy this CD to see if it was any good. Well, let me say that I was blown away by how fantastic this CD was. There are only a handful of CD's I own (and I own a LOT) that I can honestly say that I don't feel the need to skip some/most of the songs to get to that special song or two. This CD starts out great and NEVER lets up! My favorites are "There You Are" and "On My Heart" but the other songs are only a little behind them in quality. One of the best R&B cd's I've ever bought!"

"Man, if I were stranded on a desert island, I would want this cd with me. It has got to be the best cd EVER. I have had it for many many year, but it's still my favorite. Recommend it to anyone!"
Doesn't get much better than this!

"As to how this disc flew under the radar in '97 and '98 is still a mystery to me. The depth and passion in Sam Salter's music is simply undeniable and any true fan of R&B would do well to have this project in their collection. From beginning to end Sam delivers the goods, with no fillers in between. So much that instead of waiting for the next selection you'll probably engage the playback button to revisit each track again and again. Now how many CDs can you say that about? I've had this disc since it came out, but I went down memory lane this past week and played it again. The songs are as fresh, genuine and intimate today as they were yesterday. I don't know what happened to Sam's music career, but R&B needs him back and in a hurry. Anyway, my favorite tracks are "Your Face," After 12, Before 6," "Give Me My Baby," "I Love You Both," "Thinkin' And Trippin'," "It Took A Song," you get the point, now get the CD."
