CD Reviews

Glad I went to Scarborough Faire for a musical experience

"Richard Searles' weaves a tapestry of ancient folk music calling up visions of fair maidens with flowers in their hair dancing in the moonlight and court musicians parading thru castle grounds. I am no music expert, and I don't know renaissance from baroque but I know Scarborogh Faire makes me feel good and has been my favorite CD for many years. And a super plus for this CD...No singing... just lutes, guitars, recorders and such making for a mystical music experience."
In the Mood for a Renaissance? This will set the tone.

"I love this album; in fact, I enjoy listening to all my cds by Richard Searles. Shakespeare is my passion and I delight in reading his works while listening to Searles' music. It energizes me and brings the era and written word to life. If you are are eager to tred a measure to music for a galliard or a branle (16th century line dance)with Searles' music you can have at it!"
Perfect for ALL occasions!

"If you are planning a Medieval or Renaissance event and buy only one CD to play for background music, make it this one! I used this at my Renaissance Wedding and by far it was the most loved music I had available out of a dozen other period CDs. Simple, familiar, well played tunes make this a must have for any reenactor or history buff."
