CD Reviews

I would not call this performance poor
Craig R. Clark | 06/21/2004
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I have listened to both the Jarvi and this performance, and I would not call this performance poor at all. I in fact like the mixing better with the large hall sound. For the price, you can't go wrong."
Good Prokofiev waltzes
Craig R. Clark | 08/09/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I don't know if people are familiar with the Waltzes, but they are very interesting. A little different than Strauss! It helps to have the pocket score to follow along. I picked up the score in Moscow, otherwise I probably would never have heard of the waltzes. They're good. Anyone who likes 20th century Russian music will like them."
The Finest

"Read my review of Jarvi's set/complete set to get my opinion.

Kuchar, highly recommended in all Prokofiev/syms/orchestral.

Kuchar, the finest set of Prokofiev syms

Compared to the fine Muti/Philadelphia's 3,5 and Rozh's set with the USSR/Consonance.
