"The songs selected in this CD are one of Ravel's finest. Körmendi's technique is dazzling and all of the songs are well interpereted. She never gets the music too loud which seems to fit Ravel's impressionistic music. However, she does have a major disadvantage in Gaspard in that her hands are smaller than her male counterparts, thus the chords seem jumbled at times and the music seems to slow down because of the difficulty. Also, she lacks the umph at the climaxes (she lacks the contrast in dynamics at times). A very well played pieces, with the exception of some sections of the very difficult gaspard."
