A return to the classic Omen Sound
metalrob | Pompano Beach, Fla USA | 10/28/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Omen absolutely return to their roots here with this new release, Kevin Goocher shines on vocals here, and the musicianship is as tight as any Omen lineup, Kenny Powell and company really have a gem here for the fans of the true and epic metal. In the wake of the loss of original Omen vocalist J.D. Kimball losing his fight with cancer Omen shine with the return to the style that made the legend of Omen known among the faithful. The Omen tradition is definetly alive and well and for all the Omen fans out there in the world who have been waiting for their return to the roots, that time has come. All hail Omen, the new metal warriors begin their march once again."
A classic Omen album!

"I have been a longtime Omen fan, and all I can say is that this is a killer return to the classic Omen sound that I have always known and loved. "Thousand Year Reign" is a perfect metal song and holds up to early Omen extremely well. Other awesome tracks to listen to are "House On Rue Royale", "Burning Times", and "Spectre of Battles Past", which is a medley some classic Omen tracks like "Dragon's Breath" and "Make Me Your King" and others. Also of note...the guitar solos are amazing all over this album. I highly recommend this album to all fans of classic metal ala Maiden and Priest."
