JD KIMBLE was a true Metal God.
A. Horn | bishop, ca United States | 05/27/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"John (JD) was like a brother to me, and I still cry everytime his name is mentioned. he was one of the absolute best song writers the world has ever seen. His vocals were astounding live, I met him after he had parted ways with Omen. he was then in a band called Hammer Dammage, and syberia. (Based in the san fernando valley). I weep when i remember back to a show we had at a small club called Stage West, there were about 200 people in the crowd. and the show went on with out a hitch, JD sounded amazing as did the rest of the band. Later that night i found out that he had lost over 2 pints of blood before and during the show (From colon cancer). That in essence summs up JD Kimble to me. A true legend, He had set aside his own pain and fears to put on a great show. for the few faithful fans and his fellow bandmates. this was in the mid 1990s.

My sister still drives his yellow van that he used to tour with Omen. he also gave us some of his costumes from Omen and some lps. that since his death i can't even bring myself to open the box's for the pain i would surely feel.

John Your missed more than words could ever say.

your friend Pat.

OUTSTANDING!!

"This and the first CD (Battle Cry) are both just about perfect recordings. There isn't a bad song on either one. I just don't see how someone that likes Maiden or any other classic metal wouldn't own and love this CD. The guitarist has reformed Omen, but unfortunately they will never be able to sound this good again as the vocalist on the first three Omen CDs (JD Kimball) passed away on October, 3 2003. He was one of the best singers in metal ever."
