CD ReviewsGreat accordian playing, too bad Jo-el didn't sing on it S. Harris | Columbus, OH USA | 10/10/2005 (3 out of 5 stars) "Jo-el's accordian playing is as great as ever on this disc. He does a great job of spicing up the melodies of old these hymns I learned growing up in a small Baptist church in Ohio in the 70's and 80's. The arrangements are a bit repetitious, and I would've preferred a little more edge and a little less straight ahead country approach to the songs. But my biggest disappointment was when I realized that it is only an instrumental disc. Jo-el has an amazing, soulful, weighty voice that could've powered out these tunes and made this disc so much more than it is."
