Dont Know Jamie Blake or Vixtrola? Now You Have No Excuses!

"Jamie Blake has been one of my favorite female artists since her self-titled debut album came out in 1997. that album really was a gem of an album that didnt get the recognition it greatly deserved (listen to Runaway, Worst Is Over, Whisper Too Loud, Coming Down, etc...) although a couple of her songs got some radio play it wasnt enough to catapult her into the star that she deserves to be. her album had everything a great album needed to have like writing, catchy pop/rock tunes, heartfelt lyrics, and a very sincere songstress.

Unfortunately, the album didnt do as well as her record company (A&M) would have liked (although A&M didnt promote it much if at all) to no fault of Jamie. so because of that "Jamie Blake" was her only album released until 2002 when she teamed up with Paul Andrews (DarkBlueWorld) to form VIXTROLA. i waited along with her many fans for so long to hear another Jamie Blake album that i couldnt wait for VIXTROLA's End:User album to come out. but unfortunately due to "creative differences" with their record company, Geffen, that album was never "officially" released. to the disappointment of many fans we all scoured the internet to find any songs by VIXTROLA we could find, and low and behold we found VIXTROLA's album End:User pretty much in its entirety. after this great treasure was found we wanted to share the wealth by letting other VIXTROLA fans download these songs and share the great musical experience known as...VIXTROLA!

This is a brief description of the albums "Jamie Blake" and VIXTROLA's End:User. "Jamie Blake" is a top notch female rock album that has great arrangements and production values to go along with the great writing/singing and piano/guitar playing of Jamie Blake. i think that part of the reason her album didnt do as well as it should have was because at that time Jagged Little Pill was getting all the attention. and in my opinion "Jamie Blake" is as good if not better than Jagged Little Pill without all the anger but still full of emotion. as for VIXTROLA's End:User album it has a great sound that is a mix of electronica, rock and industrial music, sort of a female Nine Inch Nails if u will. and rightfully so, since some of the producers that have worked with NIN have worked on VIXTROLA's album as well. so sit back, relax, enjoy, and expand your musical landscape.

"this CD is beautiful and rockin'all at the same time!! Jamie Blake WROTE ALL of the songs except one on this CD and she was not air-brushed or corrupted (like the "new" Liz Phair) and isn't trying to be anyone but Jamie Blake..there are some real rockin songs on here with some heavey riffs..there are some slow songs too but they aren't intentially trying to be ballads or #1's...they are true and from the heart...i haven't stopped listening to this CD since i got it 2 years ago!! Songs to check out: "Coming Down" "The Worst Is Over" "Whisper Too Loud" "So Precious"...I wish she would release some more stuff..she has a song on the Darkness Falls OST ("Gunboat") with her group called Vixtrola..they broke up though cuz corporate records exec's are stupid and only interested in fake unsincere pop chart-topping crap..it is really tragic.."
