Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the band's arrival to the music scene, Chambao releases their new self-titled album "Chambao" on July 10th, which marks a return for Chambao after more than four years without releasing a studio album. Chambao first appeared in 2002 on the Flamenco Chill album, which had a huge impact on the Spanish scene and was hugely successful in terms of sales, fusing flamenco rhythms and electronic music. Since then Chambao continued releasing highly successful albums, and touring all around the world; collaborating with the top Spanish and Latin Amercian artist and keeping a truly identifiable essence and image. The new album retains the essence of Chambao, a melting pot of southern and Mediterranean music, global in scope and imagination, rooted in the contemporarily and with incredible sensitivity. It's an album that is released coinciding with the 10th Anniversary of the group's emergence and it has a special significance. "From the time of your birth, everything that you breathe, feel, think and live in general changes you, from your personalexperiences to the your voice; it's unavoidable and necessary to know yourself and to enjoy it," says Lamari. "Apart from celebrating our 10th Anniversary, for me this 5th Chambao album is about the closing of one cycle and the opening of a new personal and professional phase in my life, in which nothing is so important that it needs to be always in a hurry and a hassle, although I'm still learning more about the later every day." Now, Chambao return with a new single, new album and new tour in one of the most highly anticipated comebacks of the year.
