This is a unique ambient CD that mixes the harmonic overtone singing of Jim Cole with the ambient electronica of Alpha Wave Movement. It's a soundscape composed of Chinese instruments, nature sounds, Jim Cole's profound singing, and Gamelan music. Harmonic overtone singing is an ancient Tibetan & Mongolian art in which the singer produces two tones simultaneously - a main tone and a ghostly overtone. Modern western overtone singing has before this been a purely acoustic art mostly associated with David Hykes. Jim Cole is an accomplished and experimental practioner of the art. This is an extraordinary advance in ambient music. I use this music for my meditative yoga practice."
