I am moving, trying to lightnen my load. If you take my entire tower of 7 disks for 3 credits, I will send you this for free: 602527425375 There are 10 wishers for this. WL disk will come in it's original cardboard case, the rest of the CDs will come with artwork + disk only. All have both front and back artwork. Or, make offer. |

Only way to "bump" a topic is to post to it as far as I know. So yes, it is a rule that you can't update your own topic more than 1x per 24 hours. And yes, thanking people etc. is a sly way to bump your own topic LOL It also clutters it up. It is okay though, for instance, if you are in WL multiples, and then you find more "stuff" to post after your first listing. Sometimes you jsut find stragglers and by posting that you have something to add to your WL Mulitples, it WILL bump that topic up. HOwever, that is a "useful" bump, i.e. it contains information that is useful to other members i.e., you have something they may want, which encourages trading.

Well that means that the person who volunteered to take my place (when I had to quit after a year) did not arrange to have somebody else take over the task. or they just "forgot about it" and blew it off. I beleived the club should have WL Multiples like the other sites, but that is really up to ya'll. Right now, nobody owns the task (putting up the topic on the 1st of every month). I wonder why the topic never got posted since March? I can only assume nobody is taking charge of it.

Well, ONE PERSON is supposed to keep it active. That is how it is done on the sister sites. There was no WL Multiples here at all, then I introduced to The Team to have it here..... and they agree, and gave me permission. I wrote the rules for it (using the already written WL multiples done by the mods on the other sites) And then I was the owner of the task for a year. I had to give it up due to family illness. So if somebody wants the task, you should probably ask The Team if you can be the "mod" of it. All that is required is to copy and post the topic (I already wrote the whole thing out) around the first of every month. If members want to just retitle it every month, I can't say if that is okay or not, since I am not The Team and they really are in charge of "decisions". Anyway, I am not an active trader here as much as DVD and Books, so perhpas somebody here has enough interest to own it.
I was amazed to see that it had not been posted since last year sometime, and there were no posts in the main discussion area asking for a volunteer to do it if that person no longer wanted to do it. Maybe something happened to him It's a pretty popular feature on the other sites, which is what prompted me to start it here 2 years ago. ??

I was the person who started and was in charge of that topic for a while back in 2014-2015...but had to give it up. I noticed there hasn't been that topic in the Bazaar since Sept 2015 ?? Was there just not any interest, or did nobody ever keep charge or it or what? I had a few WL multiples I wanted to post. :) |

Melissa R. I don't think you're the only one that happened to. I printed out and paid for SAD postage and 1 of them printed out without any kind of tracking number on it, even though i paid the extra 0.55 and bought the postage here. I just mailed it anyway, since i really didn't have any more SAD money in my account and did not want to add more. So, it does do this once in a while. This is the 2nd time it happened to me, actually.
Valerie L. I have tried to use stamps and First Class Letter rate. I have never found a PO that allows this. They keep telling me it's non machinable, RIGID, so I have to add $$. Then they tell me it won't go thru their little "slot" template, and charge me for FC Package rate. I pretty much just use package rate now, not worth all the hassles at the PO for me. |

Changed my above WL multiples to orders of 2 or more...maybe asking for 3 was slowing things down? There are a lot of wishers for these, thought they would "go fast." LOL |

Did everyone notice this part of the OP's posts? AFAIC.....Not okay. PMs are also delivered via email, so they don't have to actually log in here to get them. (Obviously, the sender was available to "communicate" with you when you were ORDERING. LOL And they were willing and available to communicate when they encouraged you to order MORE from them than just the CD you had originally chosen). No excuse for total lack of communication. Unanswered PMs, I would report to team, because that, in COMBINATION with not receiving items. makes all my alarm bells go off. :) "It's just a swap site". Yes......but the receiver is 1) paying $0.49 for each disk ordered 2) paying with "credits" as well for each disk ordered. This is no different than making a purchase in many ways.......and you do have protections (mail fraud, etc.) esp. if you don't get answers to inquiries, and you don't get the *merchandise* that you actually paid for. Not saying to take that approach, but everyone here needs to understand that despite this is a swap site, it is also a purchase. And needs to be taken as seriously as any purchase transaction. I never compare the cost of CDs on Amazon, because I can't remember ever buying a CD there......by the time you add postage, it is just not worth it. As for a member choosing to "sell" a CD there rather than swap it, $6 and then you pay Amazon, also using (expensive) printer ink, printer paper, gasoline (if driving to a box), and most valuable....time. Seems kinda silly to do that when you end up with about $2.99 profit. LOL I would just donate to my library........and I'm poor. @Keeradah It never ocurred to me to look at prices. Van Morrison single discs are expensive? I have PLENTY that have been requested since 2010 that are singles, Van Morrison, Seal, etc. since 2010!! It's now almost 2015, and these are not odd balls or arcane CDs, just run of the mill stuff. 4 years to get a Van Morrison CD?

I just posted some WL multiples and noticed that I have only 82 CDs on my own Wishlist. I am #1 for 46 of them. That means I am #1 or #2 at the club here, for about 80% of my Wishlisted CDs ---- ---yet I have not received a CD since November of 2013 (over a year ago.) My wishlist really doesn't contain anything out of the ordinary or extremely rare. |
