This 2-Cd set contains 51 original tracks, including all the U.S. chart singles. A pleasant surprise was the inclusion of a couple of his country duets with George Jones and Melba Montgomery and 3 songs sung in Italian. Coupled with some of his original compositions (made famous by other artists), this collection gives an excellent over-view of this sometimes over-looked singer-songwriter's career. A 12-page essay by Bill Dahl completes the package.

The 22 songs included here were recorded between 1945 ("Tampico") and 1951 ("Daddy"), all with the backing of the Stan Kenton Orchestra. According to the insert, they come from the original 78 RPM acetates and represent the complete studio recordings of June Christy and the Kenton Orchestra. Included are 10 tracks that were previously available only as Capitol Records singles.
