CD Reviews

Quite possibly the greatest album ever made!

"But then again, I'm biased. Still, with half of this album being recorded live in Holland (full 16-track recording), and the other half recorded "dead in L.A." (containing some of my best studio work), I'd say we (me and my long-time musical cohorts, including Willie Lapin, Richie Hass, Tom Brown, John Trubee, Toby Holmes and Rocky Howard) did a pretty damn good job here. Of course this 1988 album, like all of my albums, was horribly distributed and received little or no promotion, so it's highly unlikely that you've ever even heard of us. The press constantly (favorably) compared my four dozen or so releases to Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, The Bonzo Dog Band, Ornette Coleman, Sun Ra, The Fugs, and others, but there are many more who find those comparisons totally unnecessary. Those who embrace musical adventurism and dada will love it--those who are looking for "familiar" pop music will hate it.Dissonant, demented, intellectual, funny, tight and unique as hell, I think you might be pleasantly surprised.Kill 'em!"
You don't have to believe me or Zoogz
