JUST LIKE OLD TIMES! MORE GREAT ZAPP WORK!

"You know that feeling you get when you discover something great you didn't know existed? That's the feeling I got when I found out we have been graced with yet another Zapp album a decade after Zapp V. It really is like going back to the 80's again! I see the talent extended beyond Roger Troutman. What he taught the other Troutman brothers rubbed off well!



"You've Got Mail" is slammin'! How does that not get radio play? It's the politics of trendy, mainstream radio catering more to what's 'in'. One more reason radio is becoming an old legacy. There are other masterpieces on this CD: "I Wanna Love You", "She's Bout To Roll", "The Way You Walk And Move", "This Is Our Song For You", "Be With You Forever", and "Get Up Off The Wall", which is reminiscent of "I Can Make You Dance" from Zapp III.



Notice that this is all original material, not a bunch of remakes of classic Zapp hits. That would have been the easy thing to do. That make this Troutman brothers work even more commendable.



Zapp VI is a surprising and exciting find to say the least. I didn't know there was any recent work from the talented Troutman family. It was released in 2002 - one year before Roger "Lynch" Troutman Jr's baffling death, and two years after Roger Troutman Sr's death. Roger Sr. the leader of Zapp, would be proud.



As popular as Zapp remains till this day, how could it be that this recent work is not in print? It cannot be found anywhere (other than download). I'm glad I can get it by way of downloading nonetheless. Just to hear that Zapp sound alone is reason enough to download it. It's possible that this CD was intended as a digital download-only relaease. Makes sense if its less cost and downloading is the future.
