CD Reviews

Dance in the dark and cry in the light....
shervin nooshin | Helotes, TX United States | 03/11/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"What can I say about WOLFSHEIM other than the fact that they are now one of my favorate bands. This album is as good as SPECTATORS, even though it is much older. This album is fantastic in every form and way. Dark, sad lyrics along with woderfully orchestrated synth sounds blend so well with the mezmorizing vocals of Peter Heppner that will leave you in state of trance. The synth-pop sounds of Markus Reinhardt will only put a smile as the sad vocals of Peter mezmorizes you soul. This is one of my favorate albums and its a must have if you liked SPECTATORS. If you are into synth-pop, and gothic music, you will love WOLFSHEIM with out a doubt. This album is a small price to pay for fantastic music. This is definatly one of their more upbeat albums and is more dancable than their other releases. I dont know what they call this music, whethere its dark/synth-pop or dark-wave, but I call it HEAVEN."
Great Album

"I heard the song "The Sparrows And The Nightingales" in a club in Israel and well, I think that this is the the sound of the 80's. Then I found this album and this is the sound of Peter Murphy and the music of Depeche Mode. Just great album, I already ordered all of the other albums they have because this kind of music stays with you forever."
You Won't Like Wolfsheim!

"This is the first thing you see (referencing the title of this review)when you open the CD booklet to this brilliant album...gotta love "anti-statements" (I recall KMFDM '[stinks]'). But it is not true, you will love Wolfsheim!!! Any fan of all the electro genre cannot NOT be suckered in by the lush melodies and rapturous vocals. Intellisynthpop. I happened upon this band by an auction on ebay...was able to pick up all their albums in one purchase (and that is pure luck ladies and gents). =) I popped this first album in and was in heaven. High points: Leading Men, It's Not Too Late, Sparrows, Angry Today, Anybody's Window."
