Sunita Staneslow has played in concert halls and pubs from New Zealand to Tel Aviv. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Staneslow is classically trained although her passion is traditional music. She specializes in both Jewish and Celtic music. Staneslow lives in Israel, and regularly performs with the Ra'anana Symphonette, Israel Chamber Orchestra, and was the principal harpist for the Jerusalem Symphony during the 1986-87 season. She also performs solo concerts at festivals and special events, and is a member of several ensembles. She tours regularly, presenting concerts and master classes in Europe and the United States. Staneslow was named one of the Top Ten Jewish Instrumentalists by Moment in the U.S. and was recipient of a 1988 McKnight Foundation Fellowship in recognition of her work with Jewish music.
