"Everyone I have played this CD for wants it! I have just ordered two more copies as gifts. It has a wonderful mix of artists: Michael Ball, Meatloaf, Tina Arena, Bonnie Tyler, Donny Osmond, Lottie Mayer, Tom Jones, Boy George, Boyzone, etc. It just doesn't get better than this. Buy it now!"
I LOVE this cd!

"First off, this cd is MUCH better than the original london cast recording (which I also own). I bought the OCR, only to be disappointed because these pop ballads didn't sound right without real pop singers singing them. This cd is like a "concept" cd in that it was made before the play really opened. It's a compilation of songs from the play performed by mainstream pop singers. I am so happy I bought this cd. I never even listen to the OCR anymore. For starters, this "concept" cd is loaded with talent. There are two versions of the title track, one sung by Lottie Mayor and the other by Tina Arena. Other gems include Boyzone performing their smash hit "No Matter What", Donny Osmond performing "When Children Rule the World", and Boy George singing "Try not to be afraid." Michael Ball, Meatloaf, Bonnie Tyler, and Tom Jones are some of the other superstars who lent their voices to this cd. Music by Sir Andrew, and lyrics by rock writer Jim Steinmen (who I believe penned Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell cd). The combination is, in a word, amazing, thus making it my favorite musical "soundtrack" to date. Highly recommended."

"This CD is OK but it hasen't got the edge that the OLC has.The singing is very good by all of the pop singers but I feel as I saw the show before getting this album that the songs don't have the emotion that the cast recording has.I must admit that the song Whistle Down the Wind is sung amazingly by both Tina Arena and Lottie Maylor but some of the others like No matter what by boyzone is poorGET THE LONDON CAST RECORDING INSTEAD"
