"I was absolutely amazed at the clarity of this recording. The notes are so clean and precise, they felt like they were coming from my own living room. One of the biggest joys for me was listening to one man pursue percussive effects from his guitar, while jamming on those nylon strings and keeping such a melodic beat. Wayne is truly a talented musician!! It was also a real harmonizing treat to hear vocals on one of his songs. Anyone who enjoys an acoustic guitar would want this album for their collection!"

"These are some totally enjoyable tunes--gentle enough to feel light & uplifting for the listener, but with enough substance to be interesting. "One Guitar" is delightful & refreshing. I've enjoyed Wayne's previous performances & recordings with other musicians. But this CD, like his earlier solo album "Kindred Spirits," puts the spotlight on both sophistication--of Wayne's impressive talent, and simplicity--with the pure sound of a single instrument. Apart from the music, I was charmed by the liner notes, with original compositions affectionately written for his wife & members of his family. Check it out! It's definitely worth the order I placed here on Amazon.com."

"It is hard to believe that Wayne Johnson plays this entire record live, with no overdubs. His technique is truly amazing and the sound is the best I've heard on a solo acoustic recording. This man can do it all...his playing is dynamic, melodic, exciting and emotional. He even sings on one tune! Check out his chops on "Firefly" and "My Secret". "Baby" is one of the most beautiful instrumental melodies I've heard. Come on, Wayne...write some lyrics to that one! You've never heard solo acoustic nylon string played like this before!"
