Depressing Bliss

"Vond is the metal star "Mortiis"'s alter-ego. This album, made in a time before his mainstream transition was, apparently, banned in several countries due to its suicide-inducing depressing nature.

However, I own this CD. It is so amazingly beautiful, that even the most hardened people would crack a little and look deep inside at themselves and their lives.

Nar Livet Tar Farvel, the first track, combines smooth wind instruments with a somber, depressing violin, as well as a low, cello sounding baseline.

I'd recommend this to anyone that has an open mind about music. To me, this is one of the most beautiful CDs I've ever heard.
