"there would be any sort of variety in the world of Hip Hop anymore. Everything sounded so monotone, so blase, i was almost fed up with the whole genre. Luckily for me, my girlfirend's friend, kathy told us about her boyfriends group, The Visionaries. After chiding her for awhile, i decided to buy thier first album; you know, support the cause and all. And why not? I already bought a slew of below average Rap Cd's before. Galleries was definately different, and (finally) it was something new that i could get into. The new album Sophmore Jinx totally blew my mind with Creative abstract lyrics covering a multitude of topics. Let me put it to you this way: my friends who only listen to ganster rap and the (dare i say it) the hot boyz could get into their ingenious rhythm. Thank you, Visionaries for a much needed shot in the arm into a not dead, but a very sick body of hip hop"

"I did not like this album at all. Repetitive beats are the main beef I have with it. Every track is like the one before it. There is no variety. This is especially bad because I did not like the beats to begin with, so hearing them over and over is not cool. The lyrics aren't terrible, but they're just average. I don't particularly care for the delivery or the content. Too much self-righteousness in this album for me. There seems to be an abundance of preaching in this album. I've definitely heard better records than this one. Evidently, I am the only person who didn't like this album. The other reviews praise it highly, but this is puzzling to me."

"After an album like Galleries, I never thought these amazing MC's would be able to create a follow-up album just as good as the old one. I was wrong, because Visionaries are back with an even better album, and they are letting everyone know what the original elements of hip hop are. Sophmore Jinx couldnt be a more perfect name for the album, because they have defenitely created an absolute sophmore jinx."
