Brilliant space rock!

"The Violettes are one of my favorite bands ever, and this is their album from 2004. The group is from Minnesota, and it has been together for almost a decade. The band changed its name in 2003 from Jonas to the Violettes due to a band in California with the same name.

What can I tell you? The album recycles several tracks from the band's 2001 release, "Vodka Fondu House," when the band went under the name Jonas. Sarah Khan, the singer and songwriter, has a killer voice, and the guitarist-sitarist is incredible. If you're in Minnesota, try to see them live!"
