Inspired by artists as diverse as The Beatles, Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, the Beach Boys and Nat King Cole, "A Very Joma Christmas" was listed as one of the Top 5 holiday albums of the year by the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, who called it "December's freshest sounding disc" with songs that "warm like eggnog" and are "welcome little gifts".
