"This is a recording edited by Hungarian radio company. Recorded in studio, sound quality is certaintly good (it's a DDD recording).

Although some singers are little kwnown, the title role is impersoned by Nesterenko (more famous maybe for his Nabucco or Trovatore recordings edited by DG).

This powerful bass, with his deep and powerful voice is perfect for the role.

Sylvia Sass and Lajos Miller are not at his same level, one must say. Anyway this is my favorite Attila version, followed by the one with Milnes/Raimondi.

If you like young Verdi then this opera is a "must have" and I recommend this version."
