Following the nomination of Tango Legends for the 2007 Latin Grammy as Best Tango Album, Vayo presents new interpretations of old classic vocal themes evoking the manner and musicianship of the Golden Era. From his formative roots we move stylistically ahead six decades and perform contemporary Tangos and Milongas. His new tango style results from expanding the music beyond the limitations of fixed tempo and traditional structures. The interpretations, vocal and instrumental, draw inspiration from the poetry and drama of each theme.
