CD Reviews

Vashawn Mitchell is truly anointed!
Gregory Q Lee | Cincinnati, Ohio | 05/21/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Vashawn Mitchell is a triple threat (songwriter, producer, artist). He's penned several songs for Bishop Larry Trotter and Sweet Holy Spirit Combined Choirs. The hit, "It's Only A Test," "My Worship Is For Real," and "What's To Come Is Better Than What's Been" are just some of his greatest accomplishments in music. His heart for praise and worship lives through his music. Mitchell will go further than we can imagine. Let's continue to lift him up and pray that God will continually use him as a true vessel to the world.

Hits include: "Where The Praises Are," "No Way," "Dreams," and "Your Tears Paid Off" featuring Monique Walker."
Don't judge by it's cover

"When I saw this CD in the store I decided to purchase it. I have never heard of this artist. Judging by the cover of the album I thought it was going to be contemporary gospel, that's why I bought it. I was wrong. Upon listening to it, I discovered that it was traditional gospel. But I still enjoyed it. This CD is impressive. All the songs are well put together and sound great. My favorites were, Where the Praises Are, Dreams, Destiny, Good News, Clap Your Hands, and Your Tears Have Paid Off. I was just blown away of how good this CD is. The songs were just awesome and usher in praise and worship. He can definately be in the same ranks as Hezekiah Walker or Donald Lawrence.

Overall this is a very good gospel CD. Vashawn Mitchell did a very good job with this one (he wrote and produced most of the songs. It's nice to see new talent. I did not regret purchasing this CD and glad I bought it. It's a definate must have and truly enjoyable."
