2009 release, the first of three volumes detailing UK indie label Ember's releases from the '60s Beat era. Big names featured include Chad & Jeremy and The John Barry Seven, but collectors will relish the more obscure repertoire, including early recordings by Mike D'Abo and Pete Dello (later of Manfred Mann and Honeybus respectively). A couple of the acts featured on this collection were no strangers to the Ember label. In an arrangement similar to that enjoyed by The Shadows with Cliff Richard, The Sunsets (who included guitarist Pete Dello, later of Honeybus of "I Can't Let Maggie Go" fame) had released instrumental records in their own right and also backed vocalist Grant Tracy. 25 tracks.
