"With a roster including Erykah Badu, Macy Gray, The Roots, Jill Scott, and other talented artists, it's no wonder the CD is hypnotic. This is beautiful urban music. I bought it today and have already listened to it four times!! I can't get enough. The whole CD is great, some of my favorites are: GLITCHES- Amel Larrieux's voice is as smooth as silk and Black Thought's rhyme is hot as always, TODAY- This song is very melodic and the background flute makes it flow seemlessly. And Erykah Badu's lyrics are as beautifully simple as always ("you got bugs in your house that you let run free.. but if they don't bug you then they don't bug me"), WE'VE GOT ENOUGH- Macy Gray never misses. A beautiful song about a love that satisfies all wants and needs. STILL SEARCHING REMIX- The beat is hot!! An awesome reggae song featuring the sons of reggae, the Marley brothers. Hip-Hop, R&B, reggae, no matter what your flavor, this album delivers a delicious taste of some of the great artists out right now."

"5 of these tracks I've heard from other Compilation and Soundtracks including 'Glitches', 'Butterfly', and 'Legend.' The suprises are the great gems from artist like Glen Lewis, Jack Herrera, Don Scribbs. This is the first series of many to come. I very good mixture of soul and R&B. Jill Scotts remix I'm not feeling at all and Macy Grey needs to clear her throat before she steps in front of another Mic, the track 'we've got enough' has me pressing next before it hits the 00:05 count on my CD player. Favorite tracks are: Today - Erykah Badu, Don't You Forget It - Glenn Jones, Butterfly - India Arie, High Off You - Jack Herrera, Legend - Nelly Furtado and When Your Ups Are Down - Don Scribbs. oNe"

"Great album. The heavy hitters (Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Macy Gray, and Nelly Furtado) drop some great tracks. The album also features some great up and comers. The still searching remix by Damian Marley, Stephen Marley, and Yami Bolo is really strong. Great album, I recommend it to any R&B/Soul fan."

"This album is excellent!! It's so refreshing to hear a collection of tunes that offer a break from mainstream R&B. Normally, artist will offer mediocre tracks for compilation albums, but this is not the case on this joint. Amel, Erykah, Jill, India Arie, & Macy all give us high quality, enjoyable cuts. Also, don't sleep on the newcomers like Glenn Lewis(sounds just like a young Stevie Wonder), Lathum, and Jack Herrera. This CD is extremely mellow from beginning to end. It's hard to pick a favorite track, but I would have to give the edge to Nelly Furtado's 'Legend'. If you're tired of the 'same ole, same ole' r&b, pick up this cd! It's a must have!!"
Good CD, though uneven

"I recommend this CD solely on the strength of 6 tracks. Tracks 1,2,3,4,5, and 12, make this album worth every penny. Maybe that's why some of these are the sample songs? These are soulful grooves that are engaging and unique. Though other tracks are pretty [weak], these 6 made the album one of my recent favs. ..."
