Subtitled - Macy's Recordings Story. Second release in the ongoing series from the Acrobat label of legendary Independent record labels of the 1940s and 1950s features the Texas based 'Macy's' label. Formed in 1948 the label enjoyed two huge hits on its first release with Lester Williams' 'Wintertime Blues' and Clarence Garlow's 'Bon Ton Roula'. Many on CD for the first time, these 27 tracks make up an overview of the label with historical data by Dave Penny. 2003.
