"A compilation of appealing tunes from Green Linnet artists old and new. The selections tend to be rather high-energy, and many are standard Celtic fare, though a few do feature some world music instruments and stylistic elements. Artists featured are fiddler Liz Carroll, the bluesy Old Blind Dogs, the bass-driven Lunasa, singer Niamh Parsons, fiddle and guitar duo Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill, Patrick Street, fiddler Kevin Burke, the multicultural Reeltime, a Belgian group called Shantalla, Andy M. Stewart, the rocking Wolfstone, the fusion group Kila, singer June Tabor, the House Band, and the Celtic Fiddle Festival. Especially cool tracks are Niamh Parson's resonant, heartfelt "Fear a Bhata", and June Tabor's deep-voiced rendition of Richard Thompson's "(We're All Workin' for the) Pharoah". This is great, fun CD for highway driving. Each song is both interesting in its own right, and different enough from the others to hold a listener's attention."
