Synopsis

Album Description
Hand-full of Namibians is the first compilation of young Namibian artists. This diverse and varied musical trip mixes ballads (such as "Inotela" by Ras Sheehama), Afro-Reggae ("Glorified" by N?Gatu), Soul-Jazz ("Mina Kupenda" by Sharon van Rool), traditional music ("Nyama Ye Ku Gocha" by Emmanuel Karumazondo) and Hip Hop ("Unity" by Dunjeon Family). Christian Polloni (of Papa Wemba, Youssou N?Dour, and Alpha Blondy?s guitarist and producer) gave birth to this project. Located at the College of Arts of Windhoek, he has known how to spot emerging talent within the cultural diversity of Namibia. Following in Jackson Kaujeaua?s footsteps, the first famous Namibian singer, the new generation of Namibian artists bring new flavors and different musical tastes to Afro-Reggae and local traditional music.
