CD Reviews

It is sheer beauty....but one thing.

"This collection of tracks from Final Fantasy X are brilliantly composed and beautifully written. In a musical sense Nobuo Uematsu is worthy of being called one of the greatest composers of ALL TIME. He honestly deserves a spot with Handel, Beethoven, Mozart and many others. One thing that troubles me about this album is, where is Suteki Da Ne? It is a beautiful song performed by Japanese singer/songwriter idol Rikki. I really enjoyed Suteki Da Ne and i wish that it was in this album, but it is still great. I am collecting every Final Fantasy X album and soundtrack and this one will definetly be my next buy"
Absolutely Amazing

"Uematsu has done it again! Just when I thought he couldn't outdo himself he suprised even me. Each track seems to have a life of it's own that just brings wonderful images to my mind. Two tracks that I didn't expect to be in the collection were the Korean versions of "Suteki Da Ne". Both versions of the song are beautiful, but I'd really have liked to have "Suteki Da Ne" sung by Rikki on this album."
As anything can be, better, but still exceptional

"I have been through Final Fantasy since it's debut on the Classic NES. I'm gone through the entire series and have played FF1-FF6. I'm just starting VII, VIII, and IX. I have played X and throughout the entire series of Final Fantasy Music, this is one of the best.

Nobou Umetsu's music has been incredible throughout the entire series and X is no exception. As expected, there are tracks that express excitement, anguish, action, and fear while others are happy, enlightening, and emotional. All of this music is built on emotion. Good music to turn on and think to. However some tracks are just plain ugly to listen to, such as track 10 on disc 1 "The Trials." Note that this is Video Game Music, not all tracks express pure emotion.

The quality of the CD and sound are EXCELLENT. From the faintest violin to the blasting brass horns, the music performs in excellent unison. However, I was upset to find out some tracks i was looking forward too such as Sin attacking Zanarkand were not on the CD. I was very upset that "Someday the Dream Will End" wasn't on the disc either. I was happy to see Tidus's theme, Yuna's Theme, and some others too.

The album not only contains classical music. Some of the music is electronica, such as "Prelude" other music is actually performed by a band, like "Otherworld." This album is a Great Purchase for a Final fantasy fan like myself. i've loved it since the First, and I still love it through now. If you like final fantasy and love music, get this one. If you dislike final fantasy but love classical music, pass this one up, although some of the classical tracks on this cd are excellent, i would tell the classical music junkie to pass on this one."
