"A compliment to the film, EVERYONE'S HERO SOUNDTRACK is a musical collection that captures the overall spirit of the movie. This album includes songs from artists as varied as Five for Fighting, Brooks & Dunn, and Raven-Symone. Most of the songs are vocal arrangements, but there are two instrumental numbers from composer John Debney. EVERYONE'S HERO is a movie that revolves around a love for baseball and the soundtrack reflects that in some of the song titles and lyrics: "Keep on Swinging", "Keep Your Eye On the Ball", "Take Me Out to the Ballgame", etc. However, as baseball is an American institution, so are the styles of many of the songs on the album--many of the tunes have a country or jazz vibe to them. Some of my favorite tunes on the album include:

"The Best" performed by John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting--a beautiful, dream-like anthem.

"Chicago" performed by Chris Botti featuring Lyle Lovett--"Chicago" is just a great song all around, but hearing it performed by Lyle Lovett is a surprisingly pleasant experience. Not as good as Old Blue Eyes, but it does him justice.

"Swing It" performed by Wyclef Jean featuring Kontrast--one of two really upbeat songs on the album, this ditty is catching and gets my feet tapping every time I hear it.

EVERYONE'S HERO SOUNDTRACK provides great listening enjoyment. I'd recommend it for anyone who liked the movie and anyone who likes quality children's music."
