Pure Celtic Tunes

"For those expecting Danny Boy, this may not fit your tastes. It's 35 minutes of pure folk songs sung in the old style. The voices vary from haunting to rollicking to lovely tones. The accompaniment is minimal, sometimes a flute or a harp. Some of the songs are in gaelic. I do wish they'd identified the performers for each song.
Highly recommended for hard core celtic music fans. Probably not for beginners who think everything should sound like the Clancy Brothers."
Just Awful!

"I admit it, I like Celtic Woman. So if you want to accuse me of falling for cheesy 'not really Celtic' music, go right ahead. I just got this CD from my local library, and endured some really horrible pain. The voices are horrid, and they chant more than they sing. This may be ultra traditional, but it was enough to make me feel ill...
Hope I helped!"
