Synopsis

Album Description
2009 digitally remastered and expanded two disc (CD + PAL/Region 0 DVD) edition of the '80s band's live release including a bonus DVD that contains the 30 minute concert film that the original mini-album served as a soundtrack to. The CD features the original six track album along with two tracks added for the first reissue in 1996 and is now augmented by the previously unreleased "The Song (We Go)". The DVD is the same program as the original VHS release and also features a gallery of shots taken from the shows and the Quartet recording sessions. Monument was Ultravox's first live document and was originally released in October 1983 as six track mini album. Filmed and recorded over four nights in December 1982 at the Hammersmith Odeon. EMI.

CD Reviews

Great document, although incomplete

(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is an excellent concert DVD showing what this great band was doing back in those days. Very well filmed and quite good audio, considering the year this was captured. My only complaint would be that it is only a brief part of the concert. If this is a re-issue, couldn't they have included more footage from this concert? I am sure that the whole concert must have been filmed at the time and that this footage must exist stored somewhere, why not release the extra bonus material? All in all, great DVD. ...oh, by the way, the Amazon description states that this is a PAL format DVD but this is a mistake. The DVD comes in NTSC format."
