CD Reviews

The best album hailing from Spain in 1993!
Francis Xavier Stein | Bakersfield, California | 11/12/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album is filled with an unending number of dynamic songs. Songs that instantly make you want to sing and dance. I was inspired by the lyrics as well! The songs that I most like are: Remando sobre polvo, Hierbas de Asia, Como un Burro amarrado (very danceable!),Vino dulce, Mar antiguo and Sumo y resto. This album came out a few months after the Barcelona Olympic Games of 1992, it was a reminder of the enormous creative talents present in Barcelona. El ultimo de la fila is possibly the best musical group in recent history hailing from Barcelona. Eventhough they are currently disbanded as a group, their lead singer, Manolo Garcia continues their great and distinctive sound as a soloist."
Lo mejor de EUDF
Alberto Ramírez M. | Costa Rica | 02/03/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Sin duda este es el mejor trabajo de Manolo García y Quimi Portet, desde todos los puntos de vista, composición, letras, producción, grabación. Simplemente impecable en todos los aspectos. Letras sencillas pero a la vez increiblemente profundas. Lo recomiendo como uno de los mejores álbumes del rock en español."
"Mar Antiguo" is one of the most beautiful songs...
Manny Hernandez | Bay Area, CA | 03/04/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"You don't need to speak Spanish to be moved by the beauty of "Mar Antiguo", the highlight in this brilliant album by Spanish pop-rock act Ultimo de la Fila, from which Manolo Garcia later emerged to become a succesful soloist. While the upbeat "Como Un Burro Amarrado En..." was the most popular single from it, the former track ranks among the most beautiful songs you will ever hear."
