Ugh---Hard to Listen To

"I bought this for my third grader because he is struggling to memorize his multiplication tables. Of all the CDs at the teacher supply store, this is the one the staff there recommended. I cannot imagine why! This CD is pretty awful. I know it's partially my own musical taste, but the music & vocals are mediocre and repetitive. My biggest complaint---the songs for the actual multiplication tables are the same tune and lyrics over and over and over and over....you get the picture. I don't see how this could help anyone memorize their multiplication tables, because it gives nothing to associate the different numbers with. It all sounds the same. My kids didn't seem to mind the music, but I saw no educational advantage to it, and I can't stand to hear it. The songs that do not contain the actual multiplication tables are pointless and teach nothing. I'm going to check out some of the other multiplication CDs, specifically the hip-hop ones---maybe they will actually have more than one tune on them.Avoid this at all costs!"

"This CD is GREAT. I REALLY like it and it is fun and has a nice beat to it. If you are looking for a Multiplacation CD this one would be great!!!"
