CD Reviews

Good "best of " Collection
High-Tech Mom | USA | 11/07/2001
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This CD has most of the songs I liked from their other albums, without the borderline/questionable ones I used to skip over for the kids (because they were too scary or gross for my 4-year-olds, like "the cat came back" or the one that said "I'd rather eat boogers..."). I didn't realize it was a _live_ album until I bought it. They should have done the little "we're the only ones who do a nursery-rhyme polka" explanation before launching into "out the window". (I love that bit). They should also have included the "Guess I need a bandaid" song - that would have upped my rating to 5 stars...but it's a VERY good, very "must-have" album for anyone who has to spend time in the car with 4-10 year olds a lot...funny for both kids and adults!"
Good, but not their best

"We are major fans of TFA, but were a little disappointed that this CD contained so much previously recorded material. We were expecting to hear new songs. Nowhere in the promo did we read that we would be buying our same favorite old songs, just recorded in concert with live audience. Still, I'm a fan."
Kids music for adults

(5 out of 5 stars)

"For everyone who has ever said "not AGAIN" when loading traditional "kids" music in the car, this is the album for your family. We got ours on cassette and wore it out; we're still not tired of it. Who can resist a group that counts to 18 in roman numerals and gets it right? The songs are singable, danceable, and great fun. It's got just the right mix of fast and slow, silly and serious, and none of the annoying frenetic goofiness often heard in kids albums."
