CD Reviews

Trip along

"The final cd from Tripping Daisy is another brillant release. It is refreshing to hear quality music once again from Tripping Daisy as they conclude what has been an exciting ride. The music on this album seems to blend together much like "Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb" and at times I have to stop the cd and listen to it again to make sure I have heard it all. The new version of "One through Four" is brillant along with gems like "Soothing Jubilee" and "Kids are Calling". But you really cannot go wrong with any of the tracks because they all beautifully fit into the puzzle of Tripping Daisy. It is often said good things will not last forever and while the band may be done the music lasts forever. Thanks for the music! Go and buy this disc and experience Tripping Daisy one more time."

"Simply amazing. Before I heard this my only frame of reference was the "I Got a Girl" song which I didn't like much when it was on the radio. Was that the same band? This album is pure magic! I don't even have the vocabulary to describe its greatness and beauty. I smile just thinking about it. Honestly, I am sitting here writing this with a big old grin on my face. This album has helped me pull through many a dark day and I am sure I will continue to turn to it again and again. Thank You Tripping Daisy!!! It is truly appreciated!Check out the Polyphonic Spree too. They are quite different but are packed chock full of the same goodness."
Tripping Daisy goes out with a bang!

"It's really a shame that Tripping Daisy's run had to end so tragically, and so soon.I felt that the band hit their full stride with "Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb",and would have continued to put out great albums for years to come.I think I would have to say that this is my favorite Tripping Daisy CD,even better than J.H.L.T.A.B. The best tracks are:community mantra, kids are calling, stella is a planet, this cradle song, and the sudden shift worried him.Perhaps the most touching on the album is "Soothing Jubilee",which was recorded after Wes' passing, and featured Wes' father Don playing the opening part on a Fender Rhodes. This album is truly reccomended to anyone who appreciates good music.Farewell Tripping daisy, best of luck to you all,and thanks for all the great times and memories. P.S.Goodbye Wes,I'm sure we will see you again some day.Plus, don't forget to check out vocalist Tim Delaughter's new band "The Polyphonic Spree""
