This demo EP is the debut album from the band Transmatic. The group first came together on a farm in Indiana in 1999. In 2000, the group posted an mp3 of the tune "Blind Spot" online, which (much like the internet sensation Susan Boyle) went viral, and became an immediate hit on download sites like Napster and Kazaa. In 2000, this level of internet exposure was unprecedented, and the group received significant press coverage as a result. This much anticipated EP album was released on September 11, 2001, which was obviously overshadowed by the tragic terrorist attacks. All three songs because Billboard Top 40 hits. However, the nation was not focused on music at that time - the band did not receive press coverage, and the band broke up shortly after. This album remains a hidden gem, and a symbol of the power of the internet to propel new musicians to the international spotlight.
