"Tony Orlando and Dawns performace on the Grammys in 1974 was eyed up by CBS and offered the group a 4 week summer replacement series. The shows were so successful that it was picked up in December of 1974. The album titled Prime Time was released in December 1974 to coincide with there TV show that debuted in the winter of 1974. Look In My Eyes Pretty Woman was released on January 11th, 1975 and it was number 11 on the Billboard charts and it was 8 weeks on the charts.Tony has some strong vocal performances on Little Heads in Bunkbeads, She Can't Hold A Candle To You( makes women want to swoon),Raindrops,Little Heads In Bunkbeds, Another Day In My Life.Tony and Dawn have strong vocal performances on the songs,Gimme A Good Ole Mammy song, Dreamboat,My Love Has No Pride,Fancy Meeting You Here Baby.Telma and Joyce have beautiful voices and they do a great job on Here Comes The Spring. The bonus songs which are included are great and It Only Hurts When I Try To Smile was opted out of the LP. Sadly it only went to number#94 in April, 1974.Kelly Blye is great tune and Tony has amazing vocals on this tune(makes women want to swoon). Some of the tunes are off the Skybird LP and are a great addition.Tony and Dawn have great vocals on the songs,Did You Ever Think She Get Away From You, All In The Game, Staight Ahead, and Skybird.Skybird was no.#49,November, 1975 on the charts.Telma and Joyce share great vocals on Thats The Way A Wallflower Grows. The Prime Time Album was number 16 on the charts. This is a must have for any Tony Orlando and Dawn fan."

"in 1974,TONY ORLANDO AND DAWN had changed their name from DAWN FEATURING TONY ORLANDO ,.. with the success of their summer show .Later in the year,a very successful year!!! ,with a string of hits and now a hit variety show , the group released their 5th lp aptly titled PRIME TIME.although there are some ragtime songs here, including the tracks GIMME A GOOD OLD MAMMY SONG,SHE CANT HOLD A CANDLE TO YOU,the group decided not to dwell on the past and move forward by recording more pop and r@b based material.the lp/cd set kicks off with the rocker LOOK IN MY EYES PRETTY WOMAN but moves along with tony taking on some old favorites such as the classic RAINDROPS,ALL IN THE GAME.one thing about Tony and Dawn is that they may have rerecorded some older matererial but they have had a way of making these songs THEIRS,you forget who may have recorded these songs since they do such a good job on reinventing them.Again with this release the group is focused on them being a group with more standout performances such as FANCY MEETING YOU HERE,MY LOVE HAS NO PRIDE,ANOTHER RAINY DAY IN MY LIFE, and of course Joyce Vincent and Telma Hopkins get a few duets in just like on the tv show with HERE COMES THE SPRING and the lovely THATS THE WAY A WALLFLOWER GROWS.Another track is the lost single IT ONLY HURTS WHEN I TRY TO SMILE that was deletted from the lp at the last minute when it was originally released??????also in this cd is the underated hit SKYBIRD#7 from 1975..SIMPLY MORE FUN FROM tONY AND DAWN.wow ,this cd just takes me back to 1974."
