Well friends...outtakes and lost fragments...these songs stretch back to my first efforts in 1970 or so. They're in backwards order here, time-wise.

I wrote Talking Drum for Phil Everly after an all night jam session with the Everly Brothers (Nanci Griffith was opening for them)...it's about a white priestess I knew in Africa. I Hate to Tell You I Told You So, was written with Doug Sahm. Neighbors is about William S. Burroughs...Business End of the Blues features some great singing and guitar from Amos Garret...Small Engine Repair became the theme song for an Irish movie...there's an outtake from Hotwalker about Donkey Shows...and The Coat Hank William's Wore was written after wearing Hank's coat in the basement of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...I found some lyrics for a lost song in the pocket that will kick your ass....stay tuned...enjoy!
