"I have every CD by these guys and I listen to them constantly. They are awesome musicians in both jazz and western swing genres. I don't know of any other group who has or is doing more to keep western swing alive these days, except maybe Asleep At The Wheel, but AATW have swerved into mainline country and rock. Tom's music is happy, sweet, toe-tapping, bound to turn you on. Don't miss it! (This particular CD, Uptown, is the best of the best, in my book!)"

"I was turned on to Tom Morrell by a good friend who plays guitar for a top country singer. I was complaing about the lack of good swing music and particularly good steel players. He popped a Morrell cd in his stereo and a chill went up my spine. If you like swing music (not just country) you will love this cd. This is the way it used to be done and the way it is supposed to be done. I have 3 of the series and this is the best of the bunch so far. I am ordering another one today."
